Certificates and Awards
When the affiliate institution, or one of its departments, units, or activities, issues an award or certificate, it must clearly identify the issuing entity or unit as well as where that entity or unit is based (e.g. the Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center). If there is a proposal to use the HMS name, it must be sent for review to affiliateapprovals@hms.harvard.edu. Any award or certificate being proposed containing the HMS name must exist in a portrait orientation to avoid any confusion with diplomas.
